Frequently asked questions

Straightforward answers about infrastructure, billing and data.

We're a 100% Dutch-owned company (Nixpay B.V.). Your workloads run on European hardware under full EU jurisdiction — we don't own the physical machines, but every contractual, legal and data-residency guarantee is ours to give and enforce. Your data never leaves the EU.
All data — object storage, volumes, logs — stays in the EU (Netherlands and Germany). Nixpay B.V. acts as data processor. We are GDPR-compliant by architecture: data never routes outside the EU, not for processing, not for backups, not for anything.
No. GPU-hours run from a prepaid balance. When that balance reaches €0 the machine pauses automatically — it does not keep running and bill you. You add more credit to resume. There is no post-pay, no credit card on file, no retroactive charge.
Yes. Pulling your data out of object storage costs nothing. We do not charge for download bandwidth from your S3 bucket. Your data is never held hostage by egress fees.
Any open-weight model you have rights to use. Base images come with CUDA, common ML frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face, vLLM) pre-installed. You can install additional packages via pip or apt inside the workspace.
Two components: (1) a flat monthly plan fee covering your workspace entitlement and support tier; (2) prepaid GPU credit consumed at the published GPU-hour rate while your machine runs. Storage is billed per GB per month at a flat rate. Egress is free.
Absolutely. Your S3 bucket is standard S3-compatible object storage. Use the AWS CLI, rclone, or any S3 library to pull your data out at any time, for free. There is no proprietary format lock-in.
Only you. Your workspace is isolated to your account. SSH access requires your key. The Jupyter token is generated at provision time and shown only in your dashboard. API endpoints require a bearer token visible only to you. Nixpay staff do not have access to the contents of your machine.
Netherlands and Germany — both within the EU. Region selection happens during workspace creation. All regions satisfy GDPR data residency requirements.
Self-service is for engineers comfortable with SSH, S3 and GPU tooling who want to move fast. Guided setup is for teams with a use case but not the infrastructure background — or with compliance requirements that have to be right first time. Guided setup starts with a free 20-minute intro call.
